Rank meanings:

Alphas are in control of the pack and make decisions and lead it. They also accept new members if they are good enough.
The Pack Representitive is the leader of the pack whenever a Alpha is away.
Betas are almost as powerful in command as Alphas. they are second in charge.
Deltas are there to help new members learn the ways of the pack and WolfQuest itself.
Hunters will set out when food is needed for the pack.
Fighters protect the area in which the pack is and will attack any enemies who wish to harm the pack.
Scouts have two jobs, that is they find new members for the pack and are usually always the first to "scout out" a new area of which the pack must go to (ingame) Alphas, followed by Beta's are the second to reach new destinations after scouts have returned or signalled the "All Clear".
Trackers will follow a command set by Alphas to find or 'Track down' a wolf or even prey as a hunter provides need.
Pup Protectors are responsible for helping the pups until they are able to get a higher rank
Pups are new to wolfquest and not yet ready for higher ranks
